1/2 Day Outdoor Climbing at Pinnacle Rock in Plainville, CT

Calling all adventurers, gym climbers, or thrill seekers. Have you ever wanted to try climbing? Do you want to see what the hype is about climbing outdoors? Join us at Whitestone Cliffs near Plymouth, CT to see what its all about! You will spend the day with an experienced guide learning the ropes of outdoor climbing. You can expect to learn the basics of climbing technique, to include how to belay and how to tie into the rope with a figure-8 follow-through. You will be instructed in the basics of footwork and climbing movement, while being challenged on a variety of terrain. Don’t miss out! Space is limited.

Meeting Location

We will meet at Starbucks at 275 New Britain Ave, Plainville, CT 06062. We’ll do introductions here, sort gear as needed, and then carpool the ~3 minutes to the cliff parking. From there we’ll hike obo ~7 minutes into the cliff.

Do I need any climbing experience?

Absolutely not! All abilities are welcome to this event. We encourage those with no experience, and those with some gym experience to join us. We will set up climbs climbs for all ability levels, and instruction will be provided to match your ability and prior knowledge.
