MEETING LOCATION

We recommend meeting the night before your climb to try on boots and review all necessary gear. If possible, we will meet at International Mountain Equipment in North Conway, NH (2733 White Mountain Highway - North Conway, NH 03860). IME has a great selection of New and Used equipment, and is an awesome resource to pick up any last minute needs. If you will not be in the area before they close (6pm), that is fine!

For our climb, we will generally run these events at Cathedral Ledge, in Conway, NH. We will meet there in the morning, get geared up, and hike the ~10 minutes into our climbing area. Depending on conditions however, we may end up going to a different location in Crawford Notch. If this is the case, we will inform you of the updated meeting location NLT the afternoon prior to our climb.

DO I NEED ANY CLIMBING EXPERIENCE?

No! This course is perfect for anyone with no ice climbing experience at all, and still good for those with only a day or two under their belt! We will focus on the basic use of equipment, and specific techniques needed to climb ice. If you do not know how to belay, we will teach you how to do that as well!
