Group Intro to Backpacking TrIPS

Backpacking is just plain fun. Move through the wilderness, enjoy some excellent views, bask in the summer air and nature. Backpacking is also one of the core tenants of outdoor travel, and knowing the skills necessary will help propel you on a lifetime of adventure. In these group courses you will meet with one of our excellent guides on Saturday morning, and be taken through a transformative experience. We will get you outfitted with the necessary gear, teach you how to use it, and go for a walk in the woods! At camp we will discuss how to select campsites, setting up camp, wilderness and wildlife considerations for cooking, Leave no trace, and much much more!

If you have ever had a question about just what the heck backpacking is, then look no further. This course will answer your questions, and give you practical experience to head out on your own, on bigger and badder adventures.

Families and Friends are encouraged to sign up together! No experience is required, that’s where we come in.

Length: 2 day, 3 day, and more available as Groups! Private Guiding is available for any length.
Guide to Client Ratio: 1:4 max
Experience Required: No prior experience required! Lace up your hiking boots and come experience a new adventure Age Limits: Must be at least 12 years old. Children 12-15 must have a parent or guardian present.

Minimum Bookings: Minimum bookings required for this course to run as a group is 2 clients

Price Includes: Breakfast and dinner for the trip (lunch and snacks are your responsibility), technical gear such as shelters*, sleeping bags*, sleeping pads*, stoves, group gear, qualified guides, and backcountry permits.
